About This Site
An independent, informational reference for JIC 37° flare hydraulic fitting sizes.
JIC Fitting Size Chart is an independent, informational reference for JIC 37° flare hydraulic fittings. The site exists to answer one practical question quickly and accurately: what size is this fitting, and what will it connect to?
What you will find here
- A JIC size chart covering every standard dash size from -2 to -32, in inches and millimetres.
- Plain-language guides to measuring and identifying fittings.
- Comparisons with fittings that are easy to confuse with JIC, such as ORB, SAE 45° flare, metric DIN and BSP.
- Assembly basics and common mistakes to avoid.
How the information is checked
Chart values follow SAE J514, the standard that defines JIC 37° flare connections. Each row in the main chart was cross-checked against at least two published thread identification guides from hydraulic fitting manufacturers and distributors. Where sources disagree (for example, on approximate female thread measurements), the chart uses the most widely published value and the difference is noted.
Assembly values such as flats from wrench resistance and torque are only published here when they can be attributed to a named manufacturer document, and they are always labeled as reference values.
What this site is not
- It does not sell fittings or tools.
- It is not affiliated with SAE International or with any fitting manufacturer.
- It is not a substitute for the fitting manufacturer's specifications. Hydraulic systems operate at high pressure; always confirm critical details with the manufacturer. Please read the disclaimer.
